Dear Family,
Hello, to everyone! It has certainly been a very busy two weeks since I last wrote. I will try to catch you up on our last couple of weeks' activities.
Wednesday, May 8th - Wednesday, May 15, 2019 - Beverly and Joyce flew in to stay for a week. As always, we LOVE to have visitors! We pretty much kept running for the entire week! Some of the places we visited were: Frankfurt Town Square, Friedrichsdorf (our little town) and showed them the temple here, Stayed in Munich for two nights, went to the Olympic Site where 11 Israelis were killed, as well as a West German police office, by a Palestinian terrorist group. We, also, went over to Salzburg, Austria, and had so much fun on The Sound of Music Tour. Coming back, we went to Nuremburg and visited the Old Town Area, as well as went to the Nuremburg Trials Building and Museum and the Hitler Rally Grounds. All so sad over one VERY evil man! In addition, we visited the Castle Eltz, Koblentz, St. Goar, and Bacharach. As we were taking them to the airport when they were leaving, we tucked one more place in--the actual house that Elvis Presley lived in when he was in the army here in Germany. All so much fun!
We had to drop by a package for a missionary in the Alpine Mission in Munich. Everywhere we go, we LOVE meeting the enthusiastic young missionaries and Senior Couples!
On our way to Salzburg!

We LOVED going on the Sound of Music Tour. Most all of the outdoor scenes were filmed here in Salzburg.

The famous gazebo.
The path that Maria Von Trapp and the children bicycled down.
Headquarters for Red Bull.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful settings in the world!
The wedding chapel where the wedding of Maria and Captain Von Trapp took place.
Mirabell Gardens outside Mirabell Palace. Also, many scenes were taken here. Below, the fountain the children marched around while they sang.
Stairs where the children learned to sing the "Do, Re, Mi" song.
The gnome the children tapped in Mirabell Gardens.
Going into the Museum where the Nuremberg Trials were held.
Entering into the Old Town of Nuremberg.
Back in Frankfurt
Trip to Eltz Castle (same family has owned it for 800 years) through the rapeseed--canola oil.

Visiting Koblentz where the Rhine and Mosel Rivers meet.

Bacharach
St. Goar
We sadly said good-bye! We had such a great week, and George was such a great sport to take three women around everywhere! We all appreciated him so much!
