Dear Family,
This past week, we have still been working hard to catch up and to understand each of the different countries we are helping in their financial areas. There is so much to learn, but we are definitely making progress.
On Saturday, we got smart on our P-Day and took the train with some other Senior couples to downtown Frankfurt after learning from our prior attempt of going downtown with a car doesn't provide parking places. Although it is getting cooler here (it is still 15 to 20 degrees warmer than Moscow every single day!), it was still pleasant. We spent our day in the new part of Frankfurt and were able to see the entire city from the Main Tower. Sooo beautiful and a great day!

On Sunday, prior to Sacrament Meeting which starts at 2:00 p.m., we chose to just pick a place on one of the five-pages of possible great places around Frankfurt, and took off for a couple of cities, met road blocks, and ended up in a little city called Butzbach. The little town of half-timbered houses was filled with little stands selling clothes, artifacts from Germany, and all sorts of food, plus they had a carnival with rides fit in between. It was very interesting and fun to walk through this little town, but it was extremely cold, so we didn't stay too long, then headed for the church.
After church, we got lost trying to get to one of our Senior's apartments, were pulled over by a very nice woman who asked us if we were trying to find the Harrison's apartment (how would she know that???) I've never seen her before! Then she led us to the apartment! I definitely called her an "Angel of Mercy!" We had a little going-away dinner for the Harrisons with all the people who live in the Friedrichsdorf Area. We had a great dinner together.
Happy Birthday to Parker! I smile just thinking of him with his fun-loving personality and ability to make friends wherever he goes! His mind never quits thinking of new ideas and then he works hard to accomplish them. We surely LOVE him!
We send our LOVE to all!
Gma Laura
