Week 68 - January 28, 2019 - Continued Lisbon

We were able to go to the Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon.

And we loved going to the Belem Tower!  It truly was amazing!

Finally, we definitely got our share of the Portuguese custard tarts called Pastel de nata--where there are always lines at the shops that sell these wonderful delicacies!

We returned last night (Sunday night) and got to work today with our feet running!  About an hour after we got here, our analyst from Spain, who we had gone to Lisbon with (who does both Portugal and Spain, along with Sergio), told us we were needed in Madrid this Thursday--so we had to arrange a plane out that day, do the training at 8:30 p.m., so it would give us time to get there because we have our Area Audit Committee Meeting that morning with Elder Sabin of the Area Presidency.  We will return the next day on Friday.

Throughout all these places that we go, we proudly wear our missionary badges and talk to people about the church wherever we go.  We have had some very interesting conversations, and we're so grateful that we get to wear our badges in this mission.

Well, I'll close.  Tomorrow is Cameron's birthday!  Seriously, one of the calmest, level-headed kids (I still call him a kid--he still looks like one, right?!) I've ever seen!  Gpa George and I wonder who he got that from--neither of us are that calm.  He has been such a help to us on this mission in so many ways from helping us figure out computer problems to television problems, plus just always giving us encouragement when it is needed.  Thanks so much, Cameron!  Hope your day is great!  Love, Gma Laura
